Here at Wantsum Brewery we brew a variety of different styles of Beer, which range from Pale Ales, IPAs, Golden Ales to Mild, Porters and Stouts, as well as some one off brews of special brews throughout the year.
Hop Hoodening Ale - 4.2% ABV - Hoppy Festival Ale - Brewed Specfically for our friends the Wantsum Morris specially for their Hop Hoodening Festival, this is a Foral, Citrusy, Hoppy beer, bursting with flavour!
Yellow Tail - 4.5% ABV - Spring Ale - The nickname used by the French for the indigenous people of Kent during the middle ages. A 5 hop spring ale, using New Zealand hops to create a sweet floral taste. This fruity ale is pale in colour, with mild malt flavours and a hint of vanilla. *Available March to May*
Grim Reaper - 5.5% ABV - A Red Rye IPA. *Avilable September - November*
Turbulent Priest - 4.4% ABV - In honour of martyred Archbishop Thomas Becket. This is a full bodied bitter offering chocolate and coffee notes on top of a sweet malt base. New world hops give this beer bitterness tempered with deep fruity hop aromas.
Hengist - 5.0% ABV - Winner of the Dover Winter Beer Festival (2010) Named after the Anglo Saxon invader who formed the Kingdom of Kent, this golden pale ale has flavours of biscuit malt balancing a long fruit hop. Hengist has also won the bronze medal at the South East Regional Championship in both 2010 & 2011.
Figgy Pudding - 4.5% ABV - A light chestnut coloured bitter, with soft toasted malt flavours enhanced by the addition of figs and black sultanas blended with spicy and caramel nosed hops. *Available November to December*
Five Gold Grains - 5.0% ABV - A Golden Christmas Ale brewered with a selection of different grains to give this beer plenty of Festival Character as well as some Orange Peel to give the Beer a little Christmas Zing *Available November to December*
Thunderbolt - 6.8% ABV - A strong American IPA golden in hue with big intense hop flavours and aromas, named after the Thunderbolts which flew for the USAF from RAF Headcorn during WW2.
Golgotha - 5.5% ABV - Place of the skull - named after an ancient burial ground and tunnel in Shepherdswell. A rich, deep and broad malt base gives this stout a very long smooth finish. Hops are prominent on the nose with blackcurrant, liquorice and cedar.
One Hop - 4.5% ABV - Available in different hop varieties throughout the year. A single hopped beer brewed to exemplify the unique properties of this hop variety. This beer is ochre in colour and has a smooth rich malt base.
Green Hop - 4.5% ABV - Various hops, Autumn Ale. A green hop beer brewed using using hops from Kent. This is brewed within 12 hours of the hops being picked and varies in taste depending on the hops used.
