Thunderbolt – 6.0% – DDH IPA 10 Litre Polypin

£35.00

Pre Order, Shipping from 8/8/22

Say ‘Hello’ to our revamped and modernised Thunderbolt! It has been a few years since we have brewed this epic beer but we felt it was time bring it back to life and up to date. We have levelled off the ABV at 6.0% from 6.8% just to make it slightly more session able. We have decided that as Hurricane is our new best seller, we wanted to use this as a basis to build this beer on. We have doubled the amount of Oats & CARAPILs malt to give a silky smooth mouthfeel to this beer, we used Extra Pale Malt to keep the colour nice and light and allow the hops to shine through.

Hops! We have put a huge medley of hops in this beer:

Citra – We all know this hop! Probably one of the most famous hops grown outside the UK now, it’s just pure citrus heaven!
Mosaic – It’s a staple in our Hurricane and 1381, it’s the perfect choice for this beer and pairs so well with Citra
Simcoe – A great hop to help elevate this beers fruity characteristics.
Azacca – We did a single hop last year with this variety and it just brought huge flavours of mango & tropical fruits, we had to include it.
Idaho 7 – One of our more recent single hop beers that went down a storm bringing Orange, Tangerine, Marmalade

We have chosen to use New England Yeast which is the same variety we used in our Hoppy Bunny and I am sure you would all agree that is a very fruity hoppy beer! And finally we have stepped away from dry hopping our beers recently but we will make an exception for this one and Double Dry Hop it with a combination of the hops listed above.

Ingredients: Barley, Oats, Hops & Yeast
