Production Staff
Wantsum Brewery Ltd are looking for someone to join the production team.
We are operating a 20HL brew house with a combination of 20HL & 40HL FVs, producing predominantly cask beer.
The Role
Reporting to the Head Brewer, your primary tasks will be brewing, barrelling, barrel cleaning, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate all brewhouse processes including mashing, sparging, boiling and wort cooling.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene through cleaning, sanitation and CIP (Clean-in-Place) activities, helping to ensure the brewery operates safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.
- Complete quality checks and production documentation accurately.
- Champion safe working practices and comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Follow brewery SOPs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent Wantsum Brewery at tours, tastings and events when required.
About You
We’re looking for someone passionate about the job they are doing, proactive, flexible, methodical with strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, food safety and continuous improvement. Brewing experience would be beneficial but not a requirement, as we will offer training on the job.
You’ll enjoy working in a hands-on environment, collaborating with colleagues across the brewery, and contributing to the production of great beer.
Things to note before applying
This role is a physically demanding job, one that often requires you to be on your feet most of the working day and be able to pick up malt sacks weighing 25kg.
